"I Fought the Law" by Rossy


 

From the island nation of Madagascar comes hira gasy singer Rossy, with his accordioned out remake of Lubbock, Texas rockabilly band The Crickets'1960 single "I Fought the Law."

Pure speculation, but based on this NY Times article, Rossy's tangle with the law may have had something to do with the lucrative, and apparently dangerous, vanilla trade.
