RIP Daily Cover Song (January 1, 2022 - July 4, 2026)

 

While this year has been full of less trivial matters to be heartbroken about, it pains me to announce that Kickstand Dismount's version of "American Boy" will be the final post at Daily Cover Song.

The blog's archives will still be available at dailycoversong.blogspot.com .  

To the 200 or so average daily visitors, thank you for stopping by, and I hope you found your stay enjoyable and/or entertaining.

To the 30 folks who would access posts mere minutes after they were put online, I looked forward to you looking forward to the daily updates, and I feel terrible about their abrupt end.

To the handful of bands and artists that reached out with a friendly word, it was my pleasure listening to your cover versions, and I hope I was able to direct a few new fans your way.

And, to YouTube, who were so threatened by a couple of clicks off of their site to a non-monetized blog that REDIRECTED READERS BACK TO YOUTUBE that they removed not only a comprehensive playlist of the 1600+ videos previously featured, but a curated compilation that would have provided five more years of material, may you, in perpetuity, tongue the smegma from my shaft.
