"Solsbury Hill" by Reina Del Cid

Los Angeles, California by way of Fargo, North Dakota indie folk band Reina Del Cid cover the 1977 progressive pop single "Solsbury Hill," the solo debut from former Genesis member Peter Gabriel

The song's lyrics are (presumably) about the city of Batheaston in England. along the north bank of the River Avon, which can be easily seen from the summit of the hill.

As this video footage was shot on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, they'd have a tougher time seeing the city lights of Bath, which would be 5,387 miles away.

To see this distance, they would all have to eat, like, twenty billion pounds of carrots.

For other Peter Gabriel covers, Lowland Hum's version of "Sledgehammer" can be found here, and Bon Iver's version of "Come Talk to Me" can be found here.
