The natural choice for the 500th cover song featured on Daily Cover Song is 1988 (or 1993 for the Yanks) Celtic folk jam "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)," originally by the Reid twins, AKA The Proclaimers, as performed by Bremerton, Washington skate punk band MxPx.
As a bonus, the trio toss in a brief "Inception"-esque cover within a cover with their nod to Cheap Trick's 1978 single "Surrender."
