Lakeland, Florida artist Max Hedman strips the synth-heavy 2005 single "Time to Pretend" -- originally by indie Middletown, Connecticut duo MGMT -- of its electric feel, opting for a minimalist guitar and vocal.
I do like his version, but find it funny when he sings, in straight monotone, "We've got the vision, now let's have some fun," as his idea of fun seems like watching reruns of "Nova" on a Betamax machine.
