On this day in 1959, the fantasy horror series "The Twilight Zone" debuted on television.

To commemorate the premier of this landmark program, here's Asheville, North Carolina doom metal band Bloody Hammers covering "Twilight Zone," the 1982 single from Dutch rock/new wave band Golden Earring.
