"Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" by Right Turn At 40

Mantua, New Jersey party band Right Turn At 40 cover "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)," a raucous 1973 jam about forbidden love from Long Branch, New Jersey singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen.

This cover version's so good, I could listen to it 8647 times.

For more covers of The Boss, the Bat for Lashes version of "I'm On Fire" can be found here, the Cannons version of "Dancing in the Dark" can be found here, and Andra Day's version of "Glory Days" can be found here.

"Dancing in the Dark" by Cannons

Los Angeles, California retro-futuristic indie pop trio Cannons deliver on their subdued remake of "Dancing in the Dark," the 1984 dance rock single from Long Branch, New Jersey boss Bruce Springsteen.

My sincere hope is that they remake the video one day during a live performance, and pull Courtney Cox out of the audience so that she can join them onstage and gently sway while staring at her shoes.

For more Springsteen covers, Bat for Lashes' version of "I'm on Fire" can be found here, and Andra Day's version of "Glory Days" can be found here.

"I'm on Fire" by Bat for Lashes

London, UK singer/songwriter/visual artist Bat for Lashes stopped, dropped, and rolled through Long Branch, New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen's 1985 release "I'm on Fire" using a piano, a string ensemble, and a Marxophone.    Marxophones, if you're just finding out about them (like me!) are totally badass, and every band should rush out to antique music shops and pick one up, because... damn.

For another Springsteen cover, check out Andra Day's version of "Glory Days" here.

"Glory Days" by Andra Day

I imagine that the phone conversation between Edmonds, Washington jazz vocalist Andra Day and a Pixar executive went something like this:

Pixar Executive : Andra, you have a lovely voice, and we'd like to hire you to sing a song on the soundtrack of the forthcoming animated film "Cars 3."  Are you interested?

Andra Day : Yes!

Pixar Executive : It's a cover of the 1984 Bruce Springsteen single "Glory Days."  You've heard that song before, right?

Andra Day : Uhmmmm .... I think so?

Pixar Executive : So, you can cover it?  Like, you have a fairly good grasp on the song structure and timing and meter and all of that?

Andra Day : I'm a professional. I think I can figure out the timing and what not.

And.... here's the result!
